Claire & Simon

There are few people you'll meet these days who don't have travel on their bucket list, and why not! The benefits are endless. It provides you a crash course into how people around the world live, helps you discover more about yourself then you thought possible, builds strength in relationships and provides people an opportunity to relax and rejuvenate away from everyday responsibilities.

So naturally, after meeting at Birmingham University in the UK, 10 years ago, this loved up couple began making plans to travel the world together once they had graduated.

Finally, it was time to see their dreams come to fruition. After a short time living in the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham, they quit their jobs, packed 2 backpacks and spent the following 9 months and every last penny they owned (including some of their parents), exploring the world (Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and America).

It was on this trip that they fell in love with Australia, and shortly after returning from their adventure of a lifetime, decided to pack their bags again and make the move to the other side of the world, establishing a new home together in Sydney – promising their parents they’d be back in 2 years.

7 years later, to the day (26th of October, 2019) they tied the knot. Surrounded by 75 of their nearest and dearest, many of which had travelled from the UK to get to share in a new chapter of Claire and Simon's love story.

When asked what their favourite part of the day was, the couple gushed "Having been together for 10 years we were so excited to finally become husband and wife, but that was made even more special by having so many of our closest friends and family, many of whom had travelled from the other side of the world (UK) to be there to celebrate with us."
